We met in college at the University of Cincinnati. Carsen was on the dance team, and Demetrius played football….we know - a little cliché lol. Our story actually started in the training room when Demetrius sent his friend (who will now be the Best Man) to tell Carsen, “My friend thinks you’re pretty.”

No, it didn’t work right away … but give him some credit, the man had a plan. A few months later, we were on our first date.

Since then, life’s taken us through many chapters - college, Atlanta, chasing our careers, a short break, and eventually finding our way back to each other. And honestly, that’s where our real story began.

The proposal went something like this: our front porch, Demetrius pretending there was a broken light, a surprise on one knee, and a big YES. If you know him, you know he is both simple and completely unpredictable - so it only made sense for the proposal to be the same.

Now, we’re in Nashville with our bernedoodle, Jake, and couldn’t be more certain this is exactly where we’re meant to be.

You may be wondering - why Idaho? Well, Carsen grew up in Washington State, and her parents now call North Idaho home. Over the years, it has become one of our favorite places - so peaceful and beautiful. It just felt right to start our next chapter here surrounded by the people we love the most.
